The “shit” heard around the world

So states CNN…

Apparently not expecting an open mike to pick up his remarks, Bush told Blair: “See the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it’s over.”

A mild rant: It amazes me that the media chooses to focus on such a small word. A little profanity, even from a President of the United States, is not a big deal, and doesn’t deserve such extensive coverage. And the funny part, he’s right. Could the UN get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop thier rocket attacks into Israel? That remains to be seen, but I’m not so sure that they (Syria) would if they could.

The other thing that amazes me is that our military isn’t scrambling to evacuate US citizens from the region. They’re calling it a “suggested relocation” or some such crap, and making people PAY for the transportation.

I need to do some more reading of the history between Syria & Israel before I comment extensively, but the situation as a whole makes me nervous. Between that “conflict” and Kimmy Ding Dong playing with his missiles a few weeks ago, we’re living in “interesting times”.
